George Gosieski

George’s corporate experience and work with NGOs and public sector groups provide him with a keen understanding of business needs and drivers and stakeholder management needed to effectively navigate the complexities of sustainability and social responsibility.  George has more than 27 years of domestic and international experience in the corporate sector with sustainable growth, workplace solutions, change management, process engineering, and program management.  Most recently, he formed Business EcoSystems in 2008 to guide private and public sector clients in developing and implementing holistic self‐funding sustainable growth strategies using delivery systems designed to cost‐effectively meet client needs and accelerate implementation and adoption.

George spent eight years with Capital One in the Corporate Real Estate group where he was responsible for developing an award-winning environmentally sensitive corporate campus, workplace solutions, and enterprise environmental sustainability.  Prior to Capital One, George had a 19 years career with Boeing beginning as a janitor.  He also held positions as program manager and CRE Leader – China and Asia Pac. George also built and led a global CRE group responsible of Boeing’s international portfolio and providing real estate technical and advisory support to Boeing customers.

George is an active member of the following groups: Greenhouse Gas Protocol Initiative’s Technical Working Group; Green Building Underwriting Standards committee; Special Advisor, Green Building Initiative; Chair of Corenet Global's Sustainability Community, and many others.

George is currently developing a multilateral council of commercial real estate sector stakeholders to focus on creating a sustainable real estate sector. Additionally, George founded the facility management degree program at the University of Washington, holds multiple patents related to wireless networking. He is self‐taught in electrical engineering and computer programming. He speaks and writes regularly on sustainability, workplace, and change management.  George earned a Bachelor of Arts in architecture from the University of Washington and a Masters in Corporate Real Estate from CoreNet Global. He is also a certified scrum master (CSM) specializing in Agile project management.
