Erika Wendt is a Project Advisor in the Organizational Effectiveness department at the Southern California Gas Company, a Sempra Energy utility.  She is currently leading an initiative to create a flexible “Smart Work” culture within their downtown L.A. headquarters. Erika holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and has studied work/life fit research and business strategy for the past 10 years, including her dissertation on managers’ perceptions of employees’ commitment when requesting a flexible work arrangement.  Before joining SoCal Gas, she worked in the Human Resources Department of Sempra Energy's San Diego office and with Vantage Leadership, a Chicago-based management consulting firm.
